The world is full of propaganda designed to wear people down and disconnect them from their reasoning capacities.
You are supposed to go along with the herd and not disrupt the various criminal schemes operating at the heart of the systems that keep society moving. This would be the monetary system, the government, the media information complex, and the school system.
These are the ways people make their living. You want to disrupt that? People aren’t going to like that very much. In fact, they will heap tremendous scorn on you and even lock you up if you become too much of a problem. The last place left in the world where you can cut against the grain is in America, where robust speech laws are still in place.
It’s interesting to note the difference in people’s Inner Critic, depending on their background. If they were raised primarily by a woman, the quality of their cutting-down will be a nagging, shrill one. If they were primarily raised by a father, the Inner Critic can be more explosive or the kind to just shut-it-down.
Curiosity is ground out of people early in life.
It used to be because you were supposed to adhere to your parents’ path to making a living. Now, more often, it is because of ideological reasons meant to obliterate the birth rate of productive people – thus ensuring more state intervention in the economy and daily life.
With curiosity intact, an adult is able to question the nature of these systems in place that keep everyone alive. The mere raising of questions is sufficient to provoke change. This is a scary prospect for people raised in a discouraging manner. All sorts of consequences spring to mind.
Risk-aversion is programmed into people not without good reason. Too much risk strays into foolhardiness and can be so stressful itself that a person will lose their ability to reason. To a hammer, everything looks like a nail. A revolutionary can lead their whole tribe into folly.
The way to stop cutting oneself down is to write out the various warnings and criticisms that flare up from the subconscious. Then an attribution process can begin. Where did I pick up this message from? How early in my life? Once that is roughly established, a person can begin to remember how it felt to be a person BEFORE the programming went into place. The stronger tie a person can form to the BEFORE personality, the more the programming washes out of the system and functionality is restored.
